Jean-Jacques Lesgourgues, owner of the prestigious Château de Laubade, founded this estate in the early 1990s on a magnificent plot of land in the Graves appellation, which had been abandoned for decades. Haut-Selve, one of the most prestigious vineyards in its appellation, is planted on limestone, deep gravel, and clay-gravel soils, cultivated without chemical herbicides in order to preserve biodiversity.
