Pommard Louis Latour

Louis Latour

Vineyard:
Pommard is for many, the most familiar Burgundy appellation. The village is located 4km south of Beaune and the appellation area is relatively large, covering 300 hectares. This cuvée comes from vines that are on average 30 years old, located on clay-limestone soil. Pommard wines are noticeably different from those of neighboring villages. They tend to be deeper and more concentrated than the wines of Beaune or Volnay and have sumptuous aromas and supple tannins. A merchant-breeder since 1797, the House remains independent and family-run today, with Louis-Fabrice Latour at its head, representing the 11th generation
