2019 Domaine des Maels - Minervois Languedoc-Roussillon
It was in 2002, after working in Alsace as wine specialists, that Morgane and Frédéric Schwertz founded the Domaine des Maels, born from the contraction of the first names of their daughters Manon and Elisa. Located on the edge of the Canal du Midi, facing the village of Argens Minervois, south of the Minervois appellation, the vineyard extends over 15 ha on limestone soil with red clay divided into several islets: half in the Minervois appellation and the other half in Pays d'Oc wine. It has been certified in organic farming since 2010. This cuvée is made from a blend of several small plots, located on a hill called Montesclat, which means "pretty point of view" in Occitan.
