GRANDS CRUS DE MARGAUX: The village of Margaux is known throughout the world for its famous château, Premier Cru of the same name. The Margaux appellation has the merit of representing the most impressive list of classified growths in 1855: 22 out of 70 properties. The wines of the appellation express common characteristics: more pleasant and less austere than the wines of Pauillac, but just as qualified for long aging. With the exception of the white wine from Château Margaux (Pavillon Blanc), all wines are red.
