Maison GUIGAL, which owns prestigious vineyards such as La Doriane and Château d’Ampuis, also vinifies and ages the northern Rhône Valley appellations in its cellars in Ampuis. This Crozes-Hermitage is made primarily from hillside vines, mainly from the villages of Gervans, Mercurol, Larnage, and Crozes-Hermitage. The vineyards feature two types of soil: clay-limestone and sandy-gravelly.
