Château Escalette, owned by the Richard family since the 1950s, covers 9.34 hectares on the right bank of the Gironde estuary. It is situated on a plateau with clay-limestone soil over a stony base. The limestone bedrock is only 50 cm deep, ensuring excellent drainage. It has been certified organic since the 2013 vintage.
