Château Lamour: Quite supple attack, with silky tannins based on nice freshness, beautiful fruit, well-integrated oak and a long and fruity finish.

A superb medieval city declared a protected site, Saint Emilion and its surrounding vineyards enjoy a reputation that dates back several centuries. It is one of the oldest appellations in Bordeaux and the largest in the whole of France, with its 1000 châteaux spread over 5000 ha of vines. Most of the Premiers Grands Crus Classés, such as Château Ausone, are harvested on clay-limestone soil. While others such as Château Cheval-Blanc come to the lands of Graves in the northwest of the town, on the outskirts of Pomerol.

The Merlot grape variety dominates in Saint-Émilion, sometimes in the company of Cabernet-Franc which gives the wine the tannic structure that the soil does not provide. Wines at the same time full of sap and distinction, the Saint-Emilions harmonize wonderfully when they are young with red meats in sauce, with game when they are blooming and with delicately prepared poultry when they are old and very relaxed. They also go very well with certain cheeses that are not too aggressive and the locals like to taste their wine with cheese from Holland.
