Discover Don Cristobal Finca La Niña Malbec
Crafted in the heart of Mendoza, Don Cristobal Finca La Niña Malbec captures the essence of Argentina’s most iconic grape variety. Meticulously cultivated at high elevation, these grapes develop exceptional concentration and depth.
Origin & Terroir
Finca La Niña sits at over 1,000 meters above sea level, where cool nights and hot, dry days create the perfect diurnal shift. Sandy loam soils with good drainage ensure balanced vine growth and optimal ripening, resulting in grapes with powerful color and flavor.
Tasting Notes
Appearance: Deep violet-red hue.
Aroma: Intense notes of blackberry, plum and spice, with subtle hints of vanilla and tobacco from oak aging.
Palate: Full-bodied with luscious black fruit flavors, mocha undertones and well-integrated tannins. The finish is long, smooth and elegant.
Winemaking & Aging
After a careful hand-harvest, the grapes undergo cold maceration followed by controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 6–8 months in American and French oak barrels, where it develops complexity and structure.
Food Pairing
This Malbec pairs beautifully with grilled steak, roasted lamb, rich pasta dishes like lasagna or mushroom risotto, and aged cheeses such as Manchego or Gouda. Its bold character also complements smoky barbecues and hearty stews.
