Chateau Maderot Graves

An emblematic property of Podensac, in the heart of the Graves appellation, Chantegrive owes its creation to Henri Lévêque. This historical broker from the Place de Bordeaux started the Chantegrive adventure in 1966, with only 2 ha of vines. Today, the property reaches 96 ha, divided almost equally between white and red. The Lévêque family relies on the advice of Hubert de Bouard, famous oenologist and owner of Château Angelus, 1er cru classé of Saint-Emilion. The property is certified High Environmental Value 3, the highest level of environmental certification.
This wine presents itself with a pretty brilliant ruby color and a beautiful intensity. Its charming nose exhales aromas of black fruits, crushed berries and peppery notes. Crunchy, greedy and ample, its attack on the palate is all in roundness and enhanced by a beautiful persistence.

Grape variety: 60% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon
Taste and flavor: Supple and velvety
Alcohol content: 14°

Served at 14-16°C, it will accompany a nice piece of beef grilled on vine shoots, a potato gratin with truffles, a mullet with sweet spices, a capon or a chicken. Also to be tasted with a red mullet with sweet spices or cheese like a Comté.
