A wine combining style and delicacy
Since 2007, Denise and Stephen Adams have been the owners of Château L'Enclos, located on the sunny west slope of the famous Pomerol appellation plateau. The vineyard has gravel soil over clay subsoil containing traces of iron – commonly called blue clay. The vines are cultivated by hand and benefit from plot selection work. Château l'Enclos received its organic certification in 2017.
The wines of Château l'Enclos reflect all the singularity of our terroir. They are renowned not only for their finesse and silky tannins but also for all the freshness on the palate that they offer. The blend is predominantly Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Malbec. The wine is aged for 16 to 18 months in 40% new French oak barrels and 60% one-year-old barrels.
