Harmonie en puissance, un fruité délicat aux arômes de mûrs sur des tanins bien fondus et une bouche charnue. C'est un vin qui reste jeune, avec une évolution lente et qui peut se garder 15 ans ou plus

Madiran Château Bouscassé

Madiran
Château Bouscassé has belonged to the Brumont family for several generations. It comprises 50 hectares of large clay-limestone soil along the cliff of the commune of Maumusson-Laguian. This terroir is also humorously nicknamed "Le Pied de Côte de Saint-Emilion", because Tannat gives it a wine that has certain characteristics similar to the great wines of the right bank of Bordeaux: rigor, fine structure and long potential for keep.

grape varieties
Tannat, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc
Vines from 20 to 100 years old

Terroir
Fine variegated yellow and white clays resting on stone
cracked limestone.
Reasoned control, natural compost.

Vinification and Aging
Maceration of 3 to 6 weeks
Fermentation at 28°C
Aging in barrels, 30% to 50% new

Tasting comments
Harmony in power, a delicate fruitiness with aromas of
ripe on well-melted tannins and a fleshy mouth.
It is a wine which remains young, with a slow evolution and therefore a
good aging potential.

Food and wine pairings
Red meats, spicy dishes. Gascon, Béarnaise and
Basque.
