Origin and Terroir
Nestled in the foothills of Mont Brouilly, Château de Corcelles benefits from some of the purest granitic soils in Beaujolais. Vines averaging 60 to 80 years old are planted on steep slopes, where drainage is optimal and sun exposure ensures perfect ripeness.
Ancient Vines, Modern Care
The Vieilles Vignes parcel is farmed sustainably, with minimal intervention in the vineyard. Hand-pruning and careful canopy management preserve the health of each vine, while organic soil amendments nurture biodiversity.
Winemaking Process
Harvested by hand at the peak of maturity, the grapes undergo a gentle whole-cluster fermentation in stainless steel vats. Indigenous yeasts drive a slow extraction of color and flavor over three weeks, followed by malolactic conversion and aging on fine lees for 8 to 10 months.
Minimal Intervention
No enzymes or cultured yeasts are added; the wine is bottled unfined and lightly filtered to maintain its natural vibrancy and texture.
