Chapelle de Barbe Bordeaux supérieur

On the right bank of the majestic Gironde estuary, Château de Barbe spreads its vineyard over 66 hectares from the top of the hillsides to the river Dating from the 14th century, the estate has belonged to the Richard family since 1993. The quality of the terroir and the winemaking work reveals the fruitiness, fleshiness and elegance of the wines, which regularly receive distinctions. Bordeaux Supérieur is grown on vines located on the banks of the Gironde on Palus lands which give it freshness and softness.
Winemaking
The grapes are lightly crushed. Fermentations are maintained at a controlled temperature of 28-29°C. The wine is aged for 18 months in barrels of one or more wines. Since the 2002 vintage, it has been aged partly in new barrels.
Tasting
Deep ruby color. Intense nose of black fruits with nuances of blackcurrant and blueberry, enhanced by some delicate floral notes. On the palate, the wine is balanced, both fleshy and with a nice depth on a lingering finish. A resolutely expressive wine.
