Origin & Terroir

Located in the heart of Alsace, Domaine Christophe Mittnacht cultivates vines on ancient granite slopes that impart minerality and purity to the grapes. The Terres dÉtoiles cuvée is harvested from old vines planted at medium altitude, ensuring optimal sun exposure and gradual ripening.

Vinification

After careful hand-picking, the grapes undergo cool maceration to preserve floral aromatics. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing the natural fruit expression to shine. A brief period of lees contact adds texture without masking the wine’s delicate perfume.

Tasting Notes

On the nose, expect aromas of lychee, rose petal, jasmine and a hint of ginger spice. The palate is rich and round, with flavors of ripe pear, tropical fruit and a mineral backbone that leads to a long, refreshing finish. Balanced acidity keeps the wine lively and poised.

Food Pairing

This Gewurztraminer pairs beautifully with spicy Asian cuisine, foie gras, strong cheeses like Munster or Roquefort, and light fruit desserts. Serve chilled at 10–12°C to best appreciate its aromatic complexity.
