Origin and Terroir
Situated on the right bank of Bordeaux, the vineyards of Château Gazin Montaigu benefit from gravelly-sand soils over limestone subsoils. This unique terroir provides excellent drainage and an ideal microclimate for Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.
Vinification Process
Grapes are hand-harvested at optimal maturity. After careful sorting, fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation in oak barrels. The wine is then aged for 12 to 18 months in French oak, imparting subtle spice and round tannins.
