Overview

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vin Rouge Maison Guigal showcases the very best of the southern Rhône Valley’s historic appellation. Produced by the renowned Maison Guigal, this wine draws on decades of winemaking expertise to deliver remarkable depth and harmony.

Winemaking & Terroir

Grapes are hand-harvested from sun-drenched, limestone-rich vineyards and sorted meticulously before fermentation in temperature-controlled vats. After malolactic conversion, the wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, allowing the structure to integrate seamlessly with nuanced oak spice.

Tasting Notes

  • Color: Deep ruby red with violet reflections.
  • Aroma: Intense bouquet of black cherries, blackberries, Provençal herbs and cracked pepper.
  • Palate: Full-bodied and well-structured, with velvety tannins framing flavors of plum, licorice, tobacco and garrigue on a long, savory finish.

Food Pairing & Serving

Decant for 1 hour and serve at 16–18 °C. Pairs exquisitely with roast lamb, beef bourguignon, truffle risotto or mature cheeses such as Roquefort or aged Comté.

Cellaring Potential

This wine is drinking beautifully now and will continue to develop complexity through 2035, gaining further nuance and elegance in bottle.
