Givry Blanc Les Grognots

Michel Sarrazin - Les Grognots Givry Blanc

Michel Sarrazin - The Grognots

Burgundy - Givry AOP

Vineyard
The Sarrazins have a 35-hectare family estate located in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, a few kilometers west of Givry. If its origins date back to the 17th century, its development is recent, with the action of Michel in the 1960s. They chose reasoned control in order to limit chemical inputs and soil degradation.

Winemaking
The two Sarrazin brothers opted for modern harvesting and winemaking techniques using gentle vinification which improves the finesse of the wine. It is then aged for 12 to 18 months in barrels, coming only from the François Frères cooperage in Saint-Romain, which gives elegance to the wines.

Its color is yellow with green highlights. This wine is elegant, full with a beautiful freshness, with a nose of candied lemon with a fine woody note. On the palate, it is rich, offering toasted and vanilla aromas.
