Origins and Terroir

Located in the heart of Provence, Mas de la Rouvière benefits from a unique combination of maritime influence and clay–limestone soils. The vineyards lie at an altitude of 150–250 meters, exposed to the cooling Mistral wind that preserves the grapes’ natural acidity and freshness.

Climate and Soil

The Mediterranean climate is dominated by hot, dry summers and mild winters. Soils are a mix of grey schist and clay-limestone, contributing to the wine’s characteristic minerality and structure.

Vineyard and Vinification

Vines of Mourvèdre, Grenache and Cinsault are planted at low density to ensure optimal ripeness. Hand-harvested fruit is cooled rapidly and undergoes a brief maceration on skins before gentle pressing and fermentation at controlled temperatures. Malolactic fermentation is prevented to retain vibrant acidity.

Tasting Profile

The bouquet opens with fresh red berries, peach blossom and hints of Provençal garrigue. On the palate, crisp cranberry and orange zest are balanced by a lingering saline note, giving this rosé both depth and elegance.
