A Denominação de Origem Protegida (AOP) de Bordéus é a maior e mais abrangente denominação de origem de França, abrangendo todo o departamento de Gironde.

A denominação produz vinhos tranquilos e espumantes em diversos estilos:

• Tintos: Macios, frutados e com taninos finos.

• Rosés e Clairet: Vinhos frescos e aromáticos.

• Brancos Secos: Equilibrados e vibrantes.

• Brancos Doces: Mais encorpados e redondos.

• Castas tintas: Merlot (predominante), Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot e Carménère.

• Castas brancas: Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc (e Sauvignon Gris) e Muscadelle.
