Burgundy - Auxey Duresses AOP

Domaine Pascal Prunier Bonheur was founded in 1983 by Pascal Prunier, 5th generation of a family of winegrowers. At that time, his wine property only covered 3 ha. Its vines are spread across the communes of Beaune, Auxey-Duresses, Meursault, Monthelie and Pommard. During 1999, he married Christine Bonheur. The combination of the two names gave birth to a renowned vineyard in Burgundy. Today, the wine property covers more than 8 ha.

Pressing is carried out before settling to be put into barrels for alcoholic fermentation. Alongside traditional Burgundian barrels (228 liters), an increasingly large proportion of demi-muids (350 liters) is used: in fact they give greater elegance and greater subtlety to the wine.

Clear and brilliant, the color has pale gold reflections iridescent with green. The nose develops notes of subtle white flowers (jasmine) enhanced with citrus fruits. The attack on the palate is frank, clean and expressive, first revealing lemony aromas followed by more complex brioche and toasted notes. The finish is salivating and refreshing.

Grape variety: Chardonnay

Service advice
Serve it around 12°C as an aperitif, with white meats or cooked cheeses. It has enough persistence to accompany puff pastries of all kinds and freshness for shellfish or fish gratin.
