Maison Prunier-Bonheur

Burgundy - Pommard AOP

Vineyard
Domaine Pascal Prunier Bonheur was founded in 1983 by Pascal Prunier, 5th generation of a family of winegrowers. At that time, his wine property only covered 3 hectares. Its vines are spread across the communes of Beaune, Auxey-Duresses, Meursault, Monthelie and Pommard. During 1999, he married Christine Bonheur. The combination of the two names gave birth to a renowned vineyard in Burgundy. Today, the wine property covers more than 8 ha.

Winemaking
The harvest is destemmed before cold pre-fermentation maceration. The alcoholic fermentation is triggered hot and carried out by native yeasts in order to promote the expression of the terroir. Aging lasts between 15 and 18 months in oak barrels. Light filtration is carried out, and all interventions are decided according to the lunar calendar.

Tasting
With an intense and deep ruby color, this wine offers an elegant nose developing notes of small red and black fruits supported by a hint of liquorice. The palate is ample, fleshy and fruity. It evokes small red and black fruits, supported by spicy notes and reveals itself to be crunchy and juicy... a balanced Pinot Noir.
