Louis Latour - Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru Les Chaillots
Vineyard
The Latour family has been involved in the life of the town of Aloxe-Corton for more than three centuries and has 13% of the production, centered around the famous Château and the Corton-Grancey winery. These vines, which are on average 35 years old, constitute an important part of Domaine Louis Latour. They are located on clay, sand and alluvial gravel soils. The name of this vintage refers to the stony soil of this vineyard. The wines of Aloxe-Corton are an alliance between the finesse of the wines of the Côte de Beaune and the powerful velvety of those of the Côte de Nuits. A merchant-breeder since 1797, the House remains independent and family-run today, with Louis-Fabrice Latour at its head, representing the eleventh generation.

This wine has a deep garnet color and an intense nose of black cherry and undergrowth. On the palate, the spices combine with the fruits with notes of blackcurrant, licorice and nutmeg. In the finish the tannins are elegant, with good length.
