Long owned by the Anney family, Château Tour des Termes is a Cru Bourgeois Supérieur. Its 35-hectare vineyard is spread across three plots: one on deep gravelly soils, the others on clay over limestone. This explains the high proportion of Merlot, which reaches 60%. Winemaking The grapes are harvested by hand. Vinification is lengthy, and the wine is aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, 50% of which are new. Grape Varieties: 60% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon Flavor: Powerful and structured Alcohol: 13.5% Tasting Notes: This wine is structured, firm, and full-bodied, with power, roundness, and well-structured tannins. The nose is oaky, with notes of roasted coffee. Drink before 2022 to fully appreciate its balance and the full range of its aromas. Serving suggestion It is best served at 16°C and pairs perfectly with beef and lamb dishes. |
