The Grand-Puy plateau is located west of the village, beyond the hamlet of Bages. Its vineyard comprises 90 hectares of vines planted on deep gravelly slopes. Lacoste-Borie is its second wine, made from younger vines, but cultivated with the same care.
Winemaking
Exclusively hand-harvested, with double sorting of the grapes, before and after destemming. Long maceration (approximately 3 weeks). Aged in fine-grained French oak barrels, 45% of which are new, for 14 to 16 months depending on the vintage.
Tasting Notes
The wine displays the smoothness and seductive character that define the estate's wines. Admirable quality of tannins with a fine, silky grain.
