Domaine des Pierres, established in 1964 by Georges Trichard, now comprises 20 hectares and three appellations: Saint Amour, Chénas, and Beaujolais-Villages. The estate is currently managed by his nephew, Jean-François Trichard. The vineyard is located exclusively in the Saône-et-Loire department, in the commune of Saint Amour, on clay-siliceous and granitic soils. The clay layers encase rocky, stony elements (derived from granite and arkose) and schist.
