Nuits-Saint-Georges Vieilles Vignes | Frédéric Magnien

Frédéric Magnien is the 5th generation of winegrowers in his family. With experience abroad and a diploma in oenology, he created his own house as a merchant winemaker in 1995. The Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation is one of those with the largest number of wines in Burgundy. The vines that make up this cuvée, whose soil comes from gravelly silt descended from the Côte and alluvial deposits from the Meuzin valley, are over 50 years old.

The harvest is manual. Vinification is done in stainless steel vats with indigenous yeasts and pigeage. The aging of the wine is carried out in oak barrels.

This wine is full-bodied, concentrated and complex with a beautiful sustained garnet colour. On the nose, it offers complex aromas of toast, smoked and fruity. It reveals a rich and powerful attack on the palate, followed by good concentration and sustained tannins. A balanced whole, with a lingering finish.
