Pouilly-Fumé

The Pouilly-Fumé appellation is a prestigious *Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée* (Controlled Designation of Origin) in the Centre-Loire region, officially recognized since July 31, 1937. Located on the right bank of the Loire River in the Nièvre department, this vineyard area spans approximately 1,400 hectares across seven communes surrounding Pouilly-sur-Loire. It produces exclusively world-renowned dry white wines.
