Climate: Winter 2018-2019 is mild and dry. In spring, temperatures are cool, the vines grow slowly.
The flowering is beautiful without coulure or millerandage. Storm Miguel swept through Aquitaine on June 7 without any consequences for our grapes. The growth of the vine is supported by notable
and regular rains, the vine develops a very beautiful vegetative surface. June 22 marks the sudden end of the rains, followed by a series of heatwave episodes which follow one another and place the month of July in 3rd place among the hottest Julys after 2006 and 2013, with a record at 42° C on July 23. Fortunately it rained on July 26, then in August the nights were cool and favored the synthesis of anthocyanins. Veraison is slow but without blocking. In September, we benefit from mild, continental and dry weather, interspersed with welcome rains. These conditions are ideal, they allow us to harvest all the grape varieties at the best time in terms of their maturity and in excellent conditions.

Some data Harvest date From September 19 to October 9 Merlot Noir blend: 86%; Cabernet Franc: 14% New barrels 33.5% Alcoholic content 15% Aging date April 12, 15 and 16, 2021

Tasting note Beautiful dark red color. The first nose is intense, fruity and fresh. With agitation, the nose becomes more complex and a discreet woodiness mixed with very ripe black fruits. The wine
enters the palate fine and elegant then it evolves on a fairly dense, moderately long tannic structure.

The fruit accompanies the structure and the flesh. This Dragon leaves an impression of delicious
balance

The 2019 le Dragon de Quintus is a blend of 86% Merlot and 14% Cabernet Franc, harvested from the 19th of September to the 9th of October. The estimated alcohol degree on the label is 15%. Deep garnet-purple colored, it rocks up with open-knit notes of stewed plums, fruitcake and blackberry preserves with touches of garrigue, cloves and pencil shavings. The full-bodied palate is simply bursting with spicy black fruit preserves, framed by ripe, rounded tannins and bold freshness, finishing with a lingering peppery kick. This is a very different style from the grand vin—
