Frédéric Magnien - Nuits-Saint-Georges Vieilles Vignes

Burgundy - Nuits-Saint-Georges AOP

Vineyard
Frédéric Magnien is the 5th generation of winegrowers in his family. With experience abroad and an oenologist diploma, he created his own house as a wine merchant in 1995. The Nuits-Saint-Georges appellation is one of those with the largest number of wines in Burgundy. The vines that make up this vintage, whose soils come from gravel silts brought down from the Côte and alluvium from the Meuzin valley, are more than 50 years old.

Winemaking
The harvest is manual. Vinification is done in stainless steel vats with native yeasts and punching down. The wine is aged in oak barrels.

Tasting
This wine is full-bodied, concentrated and complex with a beautiful deep garnet color. On the nose, it offers complex aromas of toasted bread, smoked and fruity. It reveals a rich and powerful attack on the palate, followed by beautiful concentration and sustained tannins. A balanced whole, with a lingering finish.
