Wine Spectator: CHÂTEAU HAUT-BATAILLEY
Pauillac 2011
Score: 89

Tasting Note
Very perfumy and elegant for Pauillac, with a pretty rose petal hint backed by bitter cherry, red currant and bergamot notes. Offers a long, fine-grained, iron-lined finish. Should age pleasantly into a mineral-driven version. Best from 2015 through 2025.

Pauillac 2012
Score: 89

Tasting Note
Nicely ripe, with notes of cassis, blackberry preserves and cherry confiture, offset by a slightly loamy structure that runs through the cedar- and espresso-tinged finish. Drink now through 2020.

Pauillac 2013

A racy, slightly high-pitched style, with red currant, blood orange and floral notes, lined with a bright iron accent that holds sway on the austere finish. Score range: 87-90 –JM

Pauillac 2014
Score: 91

Tasting Note
Solidly built, with a core of cassis, plum and anise that builds nicely, backed by brambly grip and a well-buried iron note. The finish is a bit rugged, but the fruit and minerality pump throughout in unison. Should round into form with cellaring. Best from 2019 through 2029.

Pauillac 2015
Score: 91

Tasting Note
A light savory notes lead off, with gently mulled cherry, plum and black currant fruit catching up quickly. Singed vanilla, black tea and tobacco notes chime through the finish, which has a perfumy, singed wood echo that imparts a twinge of old-school character. Best from 2021 through 2031
