Pomerol 2011
Score: 93

Tasting Note
A dark, grippy, structured version, with a strong charcoal spine running through the core of dark fig, steeped plum and black currant fruit. Loam and bittersweet cocoa notes check in on the finish, endowed with ample buried acidity. Should stretch out pleasantly, but this will need a little more time than most other 2011 Pomerols to round into form. Best from 2017 through 2027.
Wine Spectator: CHÂTEAU L'ÉVANGILE
Pomerol 2012
Score: 94

Tasting Note
A dense, dark, woodsy style, with loads of tobacco, charcoal and tar holding sway over steeped plum, black currant and Black Mission fig flavors. Shows a serious graphite bolt on the finish, along with a tug of dark earth. A rather powerful rendition of Pomerol that will need some time to stretch out fully. Best from 2018 through 2032.
Wine Spectator: CHÂTEAU L'ÉVANGILE
Pomerol 2013
Score: 92

Tasting Note
Not shy, with charcoal and bitter cocoa notes, accented by plenty of tobacco details. The core of dark plum, currant paste and fig flavors pulls all the elements together through the finish. A frankly muscular style that is both ambitious and surprisingly successful in this vintage. Best from 2018 through 2028
Wine Spectator: CHÂTEAU L'ÉVANGILE
Pomerol 2014
Score: 93

Tasting Note
This alluring red features velvety tannins carrying notes of crushed plum, warm blackberry preserves and dark licorice, gaining muscle through the charcoal-scored finish. There's a deep tug of warm earth throughout, and this needs a little time to stretch out. Best from 2020 through 2030
