2018 Chevalier de Labottière Rouge Beautiful garnet color with dark reflections. The nose is intense and complex, with notes of blueberry, blackcurrant, blackberry, prune, tobacco and licorice. The palate is powerful and opulent with very fine and velvety tannins.

The AOC Saint-Julien is located in the geographical center of the Médoc between Pauillac and Margaux. It is the smallest appellation in the Médoc in terms of surface area, since it represents only 910 ha of vines (or 6% of the Médoc vineyard). The Saint-Julien vineyard is quite exceptional. It is mainly based on gravel, marl and pebble soils. This terroir is particularly suited to Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Malbec. Despite its small surface area, Saint-Julien has eleven classified growths, which represents 80% of the AOC. Among them, the famous Château Léoville Las Cases or the Châteaux Beychevelle, Talbot, Ducru-Beaucaillou.
