2010 Château de Candale
2010 Château de Candale Saint-Emilion Grand Cru
Château de Candale 2010 has a deep purple color. Its very intense nose expresses roasting and aromas of very ripe red berries: black cherry, blueberry. These notes come from grapes harvested at perfect maturity revealing liquorice, with a delicate hint of vanilla associated with the subtlety of cinnamon. A great success in a great vintage.

Candale Castle is said to have its origins in Lady Marguerite of Suffolk Kandall, descendant of Edward III, King of England and Duke of Aquitaine. His marriage to Count Jean de Foix in the 15th century enabled him to add to his titles that of Count of Candale. The Count and Countess of Foix-Candale enjoyed at their table the wines of their stronghold of Saint-Émilion, already renowned at that time thanks to the demanding quality rules laid down by the Jurade of Saint-Émilion.

Owner: Six centuries later, Château de Candale finds a new expression thanks to the passion of Jean-Louis Vicard, cooper and winemaker. "When I visited this property, I was seduced by the charm of the historic house, by its superb wooden vat room, but above all by the potential of the vineyard. "In partnership with Stéphane Derenoncourt's team, Jean-Louis Vicard wishes to write a new legendary page for this Château
